
Dr Craig Jefferies
Paediatric Endocrinologist
Qualifications: BHB, MBCHB (Auckland), Dip Paeds, FRACP, MD, PG Dip Bus, Assoc/Prof (Hon) University of Auckland.
Specialty interests: Paediatric Endocrinology, diabetes.
Craig is a fully trained and experienced Paediatric Endocrinologist. He has been working at the Starship Children’s Hospital for over 20 years now. His post graduate training in paediatric endocrinology was also Starship and then at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
His current roles include inpatient and outpatient care for Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Starship Children’s Hospital and in outreach capacity in the North Island.
He is also an associate professor (Hon) at the University of Auckland, with >160 published peer review papers and is active in clinical research.
His clinical interests are all types of diabetes, including insulin pump and CGM management, management and diagnosis of endocrine problems in children, young people and young adults; including growth, thyroid, adrenal, early and late puberty.
