Dr Frith is a neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at Auckland Medical Specialists and Auckland City Hospital.

He trained in neurology at Auckland Hospital and had his fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at the Mayo Clinic. He chairs the ADHB Charitable Trust and the Julius Brendel Trust, and is a founding trustee of the Auckland Health Foundation.

Dr Frith is also the Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists and of the Neurological Association of New Zealand.

His private practice is confined to clinical neurophysiology testing; he does not have a private neurology consulting practice.
