After graduating from the University of Pretoria as a Neurologist in 2016, Dr Sasikumar worked as a consultant neurologist at the Midstream Mediclinic in South Africa for 3 years before doing an Epilepsy Fellowship at Auckland Hospital. 

While she has a special interest in epilepsy and runs a first seizure clinic at Auckland City Hospital, she enjoys working as a general neurology consultant at Auckland City Hospital overseeing the management of all neurological conditions. She is also actively involved in epilepsy research projects.
