Dr Christmas trained as a Respiratory Physician at Auckland City Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

He completed his MD in Perth Western Australia on “The determinants of growth and progression of malignant mesothelioma”. Subsequently, he returned as a Respiratory Physician in 1993 to work at Green Lane Hospital before relocating to Auckland City Hospital.

Dr Christmas currently works at Auckland City Hospital and at Auckland Medical Specialists as a Respiratory Physician. He is an honorary Senior Lecturer at Auckland Medical School and is involved in medical student teaching at Auckland City Hospital. He is a member of the Pharmac Respiratory Sub Committee.

Dr Christmas’s private practice is in general respiratory medicine and sleep-disordered breathing but he also has a particular research interest in the investigation and management of lung cancer. He is happy to see all aspects of Respiratory medicine.
